Dr.Ganesh Veerasekar, Secretary of KMCH Research Foundation, graduated from the Masters in Public Health (MPH) programme from the reputed University of York, United Kingdom. He now works as a clinical epidemiologist and work alongside physicians in various specialties to encourage them to create formal publications on their previous work experiences. He also works as a principal investigator for the Hospital Based Cancer Registry (HBCR).
Alongside this, he works as a coordinator for a pilot project named STEMI, which is about providing a proper channel for developing countries to transport patients who have suffered a heart attack efficiently and within a short time span to centers with advanced facilities like percutaneous interventions (PCI-Stenting) and thrombolysis. This project relies on a public/private partnership to build a system. He has done exemplary work on using special software for geographical mapping during dengue outbreaks. He is closely involved in designing, methodology and statistical analysis for various projects done by the research foundation.
